Starglobe: AR Night Sky Guide App Reviews

Big help to inexperienced stargazers like me.

It is accurate and it tells you if the star is above the horizon or not. It is very easy to use. It is the best star namer in the App Store.

This works great and is a lot of fun. You can learn a lot too!

I have a few other apps to stargaze but this one is by far the easiest to use if you just want to know which stars you are looking at. Highly recommended!

Neat - surprised it doesnt need the figure eight calibration. Will be quite useful for my next camping trip.

Wonderful app; so fun and simple to use! Great for stargazing. Map includes names of major stars, planets, and constellations. Additionally, celestial objects blocked by obstructions are named. Highly recommend Starglobe!

This is a great app that shows you the constellations and planets just by holding it up to the sky. So interesting and very easy for those that arent good at finding anything lol. I really like this and would recommend!

The idea off this app is really cool but it doesnt work efficiently. Has lot of pop ups and gets stuck really often.

Ads pop up at the beginning before the app can orient itself and then it freezes. Totally useless. An app that uses ads to coerce or force the user into paying just makes them delete the app and move on.

So much ads, I couldnt get to the main screen, but idea was good.

Used to be reliable and fun. Then ads began popping up and app is no longer usable. Ads popup and freeze screen. Tried clearing cache, closing all other apps, restarting: still hung. Now youre getting zero $ from advertisers and loads of uninstalled apps and zero-star reviews.

Ads freeze this app so often, I deleted the app and Im actively avoiding their advertisers.

I hated this app at first! I had to be shown how to use it correctly. I use this on my ipad2 and it will freeze up when started in the horizontal position. You must start this app in the upright position with the button on the bottom. Once you clear the the adds it works pretty good.

Used to be great, now freezes regardless of iPad orientation, but ads work.

I havent had this app very long but its pretty good. I can see lots in space. It does glitch and freeze some but that is expected with most apps. Over all this is a very good app.

Warning: Just adware! Download a real astronomy app; dont waste your time with this. This is very lousy. Its one of numerous virtually identical lousy pseudo-astronomy apps. There are at least 5 apps in the App Store which are using this exact same starviewing engine. Some may have a slightly different user interface, but they are all the same weak, nearly useless engine. They are basically just vehicles for ads. The 5 identical apps Ive found are: Starglobe (Azurcoding), Sky Walk (Vimal Bhanvadiya), Star Discovery (Ujjawal Wadekar), NightSky Exploration (Ujjawal Wadekar), Stars & Constellations (Divya Mishra). I dont know why this junk is allowed in the App Store.
